In 1992, four top engineers from the motion control industry founded Pantec Automation Systems. Pantec's founders have diverse expertise including: control theory, electrical engineering, and computer software engineering. Prior experience includes working for industry leaders such as DeVlieg Machine Company, GMF Robotics, Ford Motor Company, and KUKA Robotics.

Pantec introduced its first product, Digicon, in 1993. Digicon was a 4-axis PC-based motion controller for robots and custom multi-axis machines. In addition to the hardware product, Pantec also released a software package that offered coordinate systems, a Cartesian trajectory generator, and supported dynamic offsets.

From 1993 until the present date, Pantec has continued to generate new products and services. The new generation Digicon motion controllers run on open architecture devices. Our software package supports the Pantec PMC motion control cards as well as the industry's most popular PC-Based cards. In addition to our software and hardware products, Pantec also provides engineering consulting services that include integration, validation, and customization services.

Throughout the years, Pantec has been involved in the following industries: Automotive, Sports/Athletics, and Metals. Our applications have been in production for more than 20 years in the US and Canada providing solutions such as, deburring, metal removal, polishing, buffing, drilling, and contouring.
